Penetration Testing Agreement – HackerHub8 LLP

This Penetration Testing Agreement ("Agreement") authorizes HackerHub8 LLP to perform security testing on systems, networks, or applications owned or operated by the client. The purpose of penetration testing is to identify vulnerabilities that could be exploited by malicious actors and to help improve the overall security posture of the client’s infrastructure.
Authorization
By entering into this agreement, the client grants HackerHub8 LLP explicit authorization to perform security testing activities within the agreed scope. This authorization ensures that all testing activities are conducted legally and ethically.
- Testing will only be conducted on systems explicitly approved by the client.
- All testing activities will be performed by authorized HackerHub8 security professionals.
- Unauthorized testing outside the defined scope will not be performed.
Scope of Testing
The scope of penetration testing must be defined before testing begins. The scope may include specific systems, applications, networks, or domains authorized by the client.
- Web application penetration testing
- Network security assessments
- API security testing
- Cloud infrastructure testing
- Configuration and security posture review
Testing Methodology
HackerHub8 LLP performs penetration testing using industry-recognized methodologies and cybersecurity best practices.
- Reconnaissance and vulnerability identification
- Controlled exploitation of identified vulnerabilities
- Privilege escalation analysis where authorized
- Security configuration reviews
- Documentation of findings and remediation guidance
Client Responsibilities
- Provide written authorization for testing activities.
- Ensure that testing targets belong to the client or are legally authorized.
- Notify internal teams of scheduled testing where required.
- Provide required system access where applicable.
- Review and implement remediation recommendations.
Confidentiality
All information obtained during penetration testing engagements will be treated as confidential. Security findings, reports, and technical information will not be disclosed without client authorization except when legally required.
Testing Risks
Penetration testing may involve controlled security assessments that simulate real-world attack techniques. Although testing is performed carefully, some risks may include temporary service disruption or system instability.
- Testing will be conducted in a controlled and responsible manner.
- Clients should ensure backups are available before testing begins.
- Testing schedules should be coordinated to minimize operational impact.
Reporting
Upon completion of the penetration testing engagement, HackerHub8 LLP will provide a detailed security report containing:
- Summary of vulnerabilities discovered
- Risk ratings and impact analysis
- Technical details of identified issues
- Remediation recommendations
- Security improvement suggestions
Limitation of Liability
HackerHub8 LLP will perform penetration testing with professional care and diligence. However, the client acknowledges that security testing cannot guarantee the complete elimination of all vulnerabilities.
HackerHub8 LLP shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from testing activities performed within the authorized scope.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be handled by the appropriate jurisdictional courts.
Policy Updates
HackerHub8 LLP may update this agreement periodically to reflect changes in operational practices or regulatory requirements.
